Editorial Policy
Our articles explain Canadian tax and accounting topics for Ottawa individuals and business owners. This page explains who writes them, how we check them, and how we keep them up to date.
Who writes our content
Articles on bbatax.ca are written for BBA Tax and published under the name of Karim Bitar, our lead accountant and an ELITE Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. They draw on the questions our clients ask us most.
How we check facts
Tax figures, deadlines and rules are checked against official sources: the Canada Revenue Agency, the Department of Finance Canada and the Government of Ontario. Where an article relies on a specific number or rule, we link to the source so you can confirm it yourself. When a change has been announced but isn’t law yet, we say so.
Keeping articles current
Tax rules change every year. We review articles when rates, limits or rules change, and every article shows the date it was last updated. When an older article no longer reflects current rules, we update it, combine it with a newer guide, or redirect it.

Corrections
If you spot an error, please email admin@bbatax.ca with the page and the issue. We review every report and correct mistakes promptly.
Independence
Our articles are written to help readers, not to promote other companies’ products. If we ever publish sponsored content, we will label it clearly.
